Terms and Conditions
1. You agree and warrant that you have read the
terms and conditions of this Contest, the Contest announcement and
acknowledge their complete acceptance and full understanding. In the
event any terms and conditions of the Contest are not acceptable, you
shall not participate in the Contest. Non-conformance by you of any of
the terms and conditions of the Contest will disqualify you immediately
from participation or winning as the case may be.
2. You should be a citizen of India and above 18 years of age to participate in the Contest. Employees of Rediff.com and their direct relatives are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
3. The Winners for the Contest shall be determined by Rediff.com by a lucky draw at the end of the Contest from amongst the Contestants. Rediff.com's decision on selection of the winners of the Contest shall be final and binding on all the Contestants. Rediff.com shall not entertain any questions, enquiries on the manner of conduct of the winners' declaration and the contest itself from any party whatsoever.
4. Rediff.com will contact the Winner through the, email ID or mobile number provided by the Contestant.
5. The winners shall be awarded prizes as announced by Rediff.com in the contest announcement. Rediff.com reserves its rights to modify the terms and conditions of the Contest without notice to the users.
6. The winner must claim his/ her prize within 15 days of the announcement by Rediff.com on Rediff.com's website. In case the prize is unclaimed by the winner within the stipulated period, it will result in forfeiting the prize by the Winner and Rediff.com reserves its right to transfer the prize to the next winner chosen in the same draw.
7. Rediff.com reserves the right: (a) to disqualify any entrant contestant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the Contestant has breached any of these terms and conditions. (b) to decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected in the event any c Contestant is disqualified from the Contest.
8. Rediff.com shall not be responsible for:- (i) any SPAM generated messages; (ii) any lost, late or misdirected computer transmission or network, electronic failures of any kind or any failure to receive entries owing to transmission failures or due to any technical reasons and (iii) other conditions beyond its reasonable control.
9. The winner shall be responsible for any additional, incidental expenses required to be incurred to avail of the prize. All taxes, levies, charges, insurances, transfers, spending money and other incidental and related expenses as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. The winner will be required to provide certified proof of identity and residence, if any.
10. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable, subject to availability and there will be no cash substitution, cash redemption or cash value in lieu of the respective prize.
11. Rediff.com gives no warranty as to quality of prizes / after sale service etc related to the prize.
12. Rediff.com reserves the absolute right to disqualify you, if it considers, that you have used improper technical means to participate in the Contest.
13. Rediff.com's decision on any dispute in relation to the Contest shall be final and binding on the Contestant.
14. Rediff.com will not be liable for any damage or loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) arising from personal injury or death, or loss of, or damage to property, which is suffered or sustained in connection with the contest or the prize, except to the extent that the liability cannot be excluded by law.
15. Rediff.com its directors, employees, affiliates, agents and representatives shall in no manner whatsoever shall be responsible and/or shall not be held liable for any damage or loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) arising from personal injury, death, mental trauma or loss of, or damage to property, caused to the Contestant (including winners) or any party sustained in connection with the Contest or the prizes related to the Contest.
16. These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
